CEO of Junub Games, Lual Mayan’s Story of Empowerment | Undaunted
Lual Mayan, born in a South Sudanese refugee camp in 1993, shares his journey from the hardships of war to becoming the CEO of Junub Games. Lual believes that it’s easy to dehumanize the displaced if you don’t know their story–so he did what he knew best. He made Salaam, a high-tension runner game that puts a player in the shoes of a refugee forced to flee a war-torn region. But beyond changing consciousness through his games, Lual argues we need to bring opportunity to every person on Earth: “talent is evenly distributed, opportunity is not.”
